When I first arrived here it was new and I was feeling things about getting a sense of how things were, started hearing seeing other things that moved were making sounds like “that’s a hand I’ve got one too Hello you’re one of us a human being”
And it was really quite alright to be a part of something huge and warm and friendly and in no time, I had grown
So they put me in a school where all the learned teachers taught me that was not quite right the truth is that you’re on your own
You’ve been born into a system and the system is your life, you must pull for the system keeping one hand on your knife
You’ve got to play the same old game that everybody plays I asked them why but they just told me it was easier that way
We all went to religious teaching on our knees before a golden dollar sign we prayed that we may do our neighbour down
We learned about the heresy of crazy guys like old JC,
nailed up on a cross for saying gods in you and me
And I gonna win lord, I’m gonna win
I’m gonna climb the hallowed staircase of opportunity
Sniff a bit of freshly baked currency
Suck up wealth & power
And there, from my ivory tower
Singing softly in the shower
I’ll stand on my pile of stuff naked like a fat fingered god,
A thin shaft of golden piss springing from m’loins, whipping into a fine spray
And traveling away across the upturned faces of the cretins who used to say
Who’s that dickhead, but now say
Ooh look at him - there stands somebody!
